Job description

CT Technologist
Inpatient Hospital setting
Waterbury, CT
Overnight 11p - 7a but can accommodate a 4 10-hr shift schedule if desired
Rotating weekends; No oncall hours
Typical pay range: $50 - 60/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct CT scans on inpatient individuals according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Position patients correctly and administer contrast media when necessary, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards and promptly notifying physicians of any abnormalities or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details, patient information, and imaging results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care and support.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT.
  • State licensure or certification as required by regulations.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an inpatient healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in operating CT equipment and associated software.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
