Schedule/ Shift: Monday-Thursday (surgery/clinic) 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (compensated for 40 hours per week)

On-Call: Rotating after hours & Friday's

Job Description

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

3 surgeries per day (reconstructive)
Circulating the Operating Rooms
Will also work as a scrub tech
Preparing the Operating Room: Preparing tools, transporting patients, and shaving and disinfecting incision sites
Maintaining sterile conditions: Ensuring the room and instruments are sterile, and arranging sterile drapes
Assisting the surgical team: Assisting with gowning and gloving, and helping the surgeon with instruments, sponges, and dressings
Cleaning: Keeping the operating room clean before and after each procedure, and cleaning reusable instruments
Ensuring patient safety and surgical success
Verifying patient information
Monitoring the patient's condition
Advocating for the patient
Documenting the procedure

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

Texas Nursing License or "multi-state" licensure
Registered Nurse Minimum of 4-5 years circulator experience
Comfortable with surgical procedures on children and adults (6 months-18 years, some adults)
Pediatric experience preferred
