Certified Pharmacy Technician

Medix is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and managing prescription orders while providing outstanding support to both healthcare providers and our customers. You will collaborate closely with pharmacists, the Customer Experience team, and management to ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescriptions, always adhering to company protocols and regulatory standards.

Essential Functions:

• Receive, enter, and process prescriptions in accordance with company protocols.

• Review medical documentation from healthcare providers for completeness and accuracy.

• Develop a strong understanding of the company's product to provide quick and efficient pharmacy assistance.

• Resolve open orders by communicating with Pharmacists and the Customer Experience team.

• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, state, and federal regulations in all tasks.

• Collaborate with management and pharmacists to maintain smooth workflow.

• Perform additional duties as assigned within the Pharmacy Technician role.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role.
• PTCB or NHA certification is required, or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment.
• Strong phone presence with experience in a support or service role.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new, complex software systems quickly.
• Proficiency in mathematical skills for handling prescriptions and dosage calculations.

Compensation: $19

Hours: Full time - Mon-Fri 8 hours between 8am-9:30pm and Sat 9am-5pm (1 Sat a month)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15205

Start Date: ASAP

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
