Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Urgent Care
Location: 5890 Waterloo Road, Columbia, MD 21045
Pay Rate: $18-22/hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 4 days a week (7:45am - 4:00pm), 1 late night on Wednesdays (11:30am - 8pm), and one weekend shift per month (Sat or Sun, 9am - 3pm)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic and fast-paced Urgent Care team in Columbia, MD. This role involves direct patient care, assisting physicians, and managing clinical tasks to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient experiences. Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture (blood draws) and administer injections.
  • Triage and room patients, evaluating their medical needs.
  • Assist in managing patient flow and supporting nursing staff and physicians with clinical tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the EPIC electronic health system.
  • Provide compassionate care in a high-volume office while maintaining efficiency.
  • Receive hands-on training in Urgent Care, with opportunities to rotate through other specialty clinics.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant certification required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 2-3 years of medical assisting experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment like urgent care or primary care.
  • Demonstrated experience with venipuncture and injections.
  • EPIC or other electronic medical record system experience is a plus.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills.

Schedule Options:

Schedule 1:

  • Mon-Tues, Thurs-Fri: 7:45am-4:30pm
  • Wed: 11:30am-8pm
  • 3rd Saturday of the month: 7:30am-6pm

Schedule 2:

  • Mon, Thurs-Fri: 8:30am-5pm
  • Tues: 9am-6:30pm
  • Wed: 11:30am-8pm
  • 3rd Sunday of the month: 7:30am-6pm
