Job description

Medical Assistant

Edmonds, WA 98026 and Mill Creek, WA

Two Orthopedic Centers in Edmonds and Mill Creek are looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team.

This is a very fast paced clinic that provides a number of different services within the scope of orthopedics - pain management, sports medicine, foot/ankle and hand/wrist to be specific. The medical assistant stepping into this role will support a number of different providers but be paired with 1 each individual shift, they will primarily be responsible for supporting the flow of patients. Rooming patients and prepping them for the provider will be a significant function of this position.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients,documenting patient medical history into the EMR system and prepping them for there provider (EPIC)
  • Retrieving X Ray images for providers
  • Remove and setting cast, removing stitches and applying DMEs
  • Assist in the management of the providers' inboxes
  • Triaging incoming calls and relaying messages to the appropriate providers
  • Providing clinical support as needed

Requirements:

  • MA-C or MA-R Certification through the Washington State DOH
  • 2 + years of ambulatory experience (preferably in the front or back office)

Schedule/Shift:

  • Mon-Fri 7:45am-400pm ( start / end times may vary up to 2 hours depending on the provider this medical assistant is scheduled to support) Will typically get out earlier on Fridays, averaging 38-42 hours a week (overtime optional)

Contract Length:

1040 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.

Pay:

$20 - $27 (Dependant on experience)
