Job description

  • Answer incoming calls from patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding medical inquiries, appointment scheduling, and general assistance.
  • Provide accurate information to callers regarding medical procedures, test results, treatment options, and medication inquiries, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently, taking into consideration physician availability, patient preferences, and urgency of medical needs.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes.
  • Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries, including verifying coverage, explaining benefits, and resolving billing issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive medical information and patient concerns.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, including physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel, to coordinate patient care and resolve inquiries promptly.
  • Document all interactions and transactions accurately in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring thorough and precise record-keeping.
  • Follow established call center protocols and procedures to provide consistent and high-quality service to patients.
