Job description

The Bilingual (Spanish) Reception Appointment Clerk will be working at the front desk at the OB/GYN department. In this role you will be opening the clinic and greeting patients at 8:00am. From there you will be checking in patients at the front by collecting their demographic information, updating any changes in information and verifying insurance. Also, the Reception Appointment Clerk will be looking over the list of MAs and MDs and assigning a MA to a MD each day. You will also be doing pre-registration for the next day, completing patient outreach and documenting information from patient phone interactions. Other duties include things such as sending patients bills or collecting payments, working with the call center team to schedule patient appointments and communicating if a patient or a provider is running late.

Must Have Skills/Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Customer Service Experience
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Empathy

Schedule/Shift
  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • There is opportunity to pickup overtime until 7pm
  • Training: typically 8:30am-5:00pm for the first 4-8 weeks but you can adopt the true 8:00am-4:30pm schedule if that works better for you. There will be 2 days of orientation and then 4-8 weeks of training where you will be shadowing other team members and also having a team member shadow you until you are comfortable working independently.
