Registration Specialist

A world-renowned Hospital in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Patient Registration Specialist to support their team.

This is a 12 week, onsite contract opportunity with the possibility of extension or permanent employment with a large healthcare organization.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Obtain and verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Obtain referrals and authorizations prior to patient appointments
• Accurately update information and track referrals / authorizations in EPIC
• Contact patients to obtain necessary information and confirm or cancel upcoming appointments

Required Qualifications:

• Registration experience
• COVID-19 vaccination (no exemptions)

Additional Skills:

• Insurance Verification experience
• Hospital experience

Schedule:

• Nights - 4x10 hour shifts
• Will be scheduled every other weekend and 1-2 holidays per year

Pay: $18-21 per hour (depending on experience)

In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. Sick Pay: You will receive one day of Sick Time after working 600 hours and an additional day of Sick Time for every 300 hours after. **Please note that if you're in a city/state with unique PTO requirements, the city/state's policy will override Medix's internal PTO policy.
