Job description

Registered Nurse Recovery

A Urology Clinic in Spokane, WA is looking for a Registered Nurse to join their team.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Assesses, evaluates and accurately records patient's post-anesthesia status and provides supportive care during the post-procedure phase. Maintains accurate and complete medical records.
  • Administers medications in accordance with physician's /anesthesia's orders.
  • Accountable for administration of drugs, IV procedures and other therapeutic measures in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Maintains recovery room information logs: cases after 6pm, case type/temp/hair removal/CMS codes.
  • Reviews One Medical Passport post-op questionnaire and follows up with patient (if needed).
  • Anticipates and assists with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and medications.
  • Counts narcotics with another RN.
  • Initiates patient teaching and discussion of discharge instructions and documentation of patient's understanding.
  • Maintains crash cart supplies and equipment.
  • Supervises non-licensed staff in Post-Op area and assigns tasks based on education and training.
  • Maintains traffic control and cleanliness in Post-Op area.
  • Communicates patient status and other pertinent information to co-workers as needed.
  • Provides emotional support and reassurance to patient and family during perioperative stay.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school or nursing
  • Current state license to practice as an RN
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
  • PALS/ACLS certification and re-certification
  • 18 - 24 months experience

Additional Skills:

  • Ambulatory Surgery Experience
  • Membership in local, state, or national Professional Societies is encouraged
  • IV and Medication Monitoring

Schedule/Shift:

  • Monday - Friday (7:30 - 8am) - (4 - 4:30pm)

Contract Length:

Direct Hire

Pay:

$79,040 - $120,640 (Dependant on experience)
