Medical Biller

We are hiring for a Medical Billing Specialist to join one of our clients in Prairie Village! This role is within an Orthopaedic Surgery Center, and will handle all aspects of medical billing!

Role Overview:

• Claim Submission: Prepare and submit accurate and timely insurance claims for Pediatric Orthopaedic services using appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• Billing Management: Review patient accounts for accuracy, including verifying insurance coverage, patient information, and service details before claim submission.
• Denial Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve denied claims by communicating with insurance providers, reviewing documentation, and appealing when necessary.
• Patient Communication: Serve as a point of contact for patients and guardians regarding billing inquiries, insurance coverage, and payment plans.
• Documentation Compliance: Ensure that all billing practices adhere to healthcare regulations and compliance standards, including HIPAA.
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on billing metrics, claims status, and denials to assist management in optimizing billing processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeons, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure accurate documentation and billing practices.
• Continuing Education: Stay current with changes in billing regulations, coding updates, and industry best practices related to Pediatric Orthopaedics.

Requirements:

• Knowledgeable working EOB's
• Knowledgable with following up on Denied Claims
• 2-3+ years experience in Medical Billing
• Ideally have experince in full cycle billing (Small office or private practice rather than large health system)

Location: Prairie Village, KS 66207

Schedule: Flexible 40 Hours Week - Starts as a M-F 8-5

Pay: $22-27.00/hr (Flexible)
