Job description

A large Revenue Cycle Consulting group in Oak Brook, IL is seeking experienced Medical Billing & Coding Specialists to join their team.

This is an onsite position offering benefits, PTO, and the opportunity to grow with a large healthcare organization.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Process a high volume of patient claims (150-250 per day) for a multi-state client base including primary care providers, dentists, and advanced wound care specialists
  • Manage fully-cycle of patient claims including denials, appeals, and resolutions
  • Ensure accuracy with split claims
  • Participate in cross-functional team collaboration and support
  • Interact with Clients with a high level of professionalism and communication skills

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Medical Billing & Coding experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • NextGen experience
  • Coding Certification (preferred but not required)
  • Self-starter and independent worker
  • Positive Attitude
  • Organization skills

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (1 hour lunch break)

Pay:
$27-37 depending on experience

Benefits provided by Medix:

In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).

Sick Pay: You will receive one day of Sick Time after working 600 hours and an additional day of Sick Time for every 300 hours after. **Please note that if you're in a city/state with unique PTO requirements, the city/state's policy will override Medix's internal PTO policy.
