Job description

Overview:
We are a growing medical practice looking for a dedicated, friendly, and efficient Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role will be based primarily at our Wexford office.

  • Title: Medical Receptionist/Patient Access Representative
  • Location: Wexford, PA
  • Pay: 18-20/hour
  • Hours: Monday to Friday. Either 8-4 or 9-5 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule patient appointments as necessary.
  • Greet patients courteously when they sign in and out of the office.
  • Record and verify necessary patient information to ensure accuracy.
  • Answer telephone calls, screen calls, and take messages in a polite and timely manner.
  • Maintain and update physician schedules to ensure proper patient appointments.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary forms.
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances from patients.
  • File charts and paperwork into designated areas.
  • Keep the workspace and waiting area clean and orderly.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Dependable and committed to following up with patients.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Prior medical receptionist experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Shifts rotate between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM every other day for phone coverage.
