Job description

Medix is looking to hire a Community Outreach Worker in Solano County to support and represent the CalAIM program, advancing the mission, vision, and philosophy of the agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to eligible community members in a variety of settings and provide insight of the program.
  • Assist candidates with the enrollment process and educate them on the benefits of doing so.
  • Establish and maintain a network with local clinics, hospitals, and other medical facilities to host events for member enrollment.
  • Provide excellent customer service during patient interactions.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of enrollments and patient information.

Requirements / Experience:

  • Community Health Worker certification (highly preferred)
  • Personal vehicle to commute to different locations and set up enrollment events
  • Driver's License and Auto insurance
  • Self-starter and goal-driven personality to operate with minimal direct supervision
  • BA degree in Sociology, Psychology, or Public Health

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:00 - 3:00 pm
  • 6-hour work days
  • 30 hours a week

Pay range:

$25-28/hr BOE
