Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Cash Posting Specialist to accurately process insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials. This role is crucial for maintaining financial compliance, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring clean, up-to-date accounting within the revenue cycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials into the healthcare billing system.
- Record financial transactions in accordance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with billing, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle teams to address errors and reconcile accounts.
- Ensure clean, up-to-date accounting within the revenue cycle.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of prior Cash Posting/Payment Posting experience in hospital accounts
- Experience in healthcare billing and revenue cycle management
- Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs).
- Proven data entry experience with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to process high volumes of financial transactions efficiently.
- Strong communication and collaborative teamwork skills.
Experience
- 2+ years of prior Cash Posting/Payment Posting experience in hospital accounts
- Experience in healthcare billing and revenue cycle management
- Proven data entry experience with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Skills
- Healthcare billing systems proficiency
- Revenue cycle management knowledge
- Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs)
- Ability to process high volumes of financial transactions efficiently

- Consistently exceeds Cash Posting KPIs / Metrics (Preferred)
- Experience supporting large health systems (Preferred)

Additional Requirements
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Central Time, approximately 40 hours per week.
