Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Research Assistant to monitor and manage an Outlook inbox queue for internal and external invoice submission inquiries. This role involves providing clarification, requesting missing documentation from sponsors, tracking follow-up communication, and prioritizing requests across a portfolio of approximately 1,000 active research studies. The assistant will also support payment application, revenue clearing, and administrative backlog, with opportunities to cross-train across various team responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage an Outlook inbox queue for internal and external invoice submission inquiries, providing clarification or requesting missing documentation from sponsors.
- Track follow-up communication and prioritize requests across a portfolio of approximately 1,000 active research studies.
- Assist with payment application, revenue clearing, and administrative backlog support.
- Cross-train across various team responsibilities to serve as operational backup when other team members are out.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of general finance, billing, accounts receivable, or finance administrative background (healthcare billing or clinic experience preferred).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- High comfort level working with numbers, high-volume email workflows, and managing large revenue tracking volumes.
- Previous experience in healthcare, hospital billing, or clinical billing environments (preferred).
- Prior exposure to high-volume revenue follow-up and multi-tasking across large study volumes (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of general finance, billing, accounts receivable, or finance administrative experience.
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical acumen and comfort working with high-volume data.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills for managing high-volume email workflows and large revenue tracking.
Additional Requirements
- Full-Time: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Hybrid/On-Site Requirement: Required in-office once per week or for required monthly team meetings; remote otherwise.
