Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Migration Engineer. This role is a Specialized Systems/Cloud Migration Coordinator, often classified as an Infrastructure Systems Specialist or Cloud Storage Migration Consultant. It operates at the intersection of Systems/Cloud Engineering and IT Project Coordination, requiring hands-on technical knowledge of networking and Azure, along with strong coordination skills. The primary initiative involves a Cloud Security & Storage Modernization Project, focusing on hardening Azure storage access by migrating file shares from public endpoints to Azure Private Endpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical execution, including VNet configuration, Private Endpoints, Azure Storage accounts, IP addressing, and DNS/cutover mechanics.
- Lead stakeholder and project coordination, including tracking numerous items, facilitating meetings with business unit heads, scheduling change advisory board (CAB) windows, and ensuring adherence to migration timelines.
- Conduct technical discovery and governance activities, such as identifying orphaned storage, evaluating retirement viability, and auditing active endpoints.
- Manage changes to Azure file paths.

- Intermediate Azure knowledge.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of networking.
- Ability to work with technical autonomy.
- Strong stakeholder and project coordination skills.
Experience
- Mid-level experience in cloud infrastructure, systems administration, or IT service management.
- Experience with Cloud Security & Storage Modernization projects, specifically involving Azure Private Endpoints.

Additional Requirements
- This role requires a blend of technical execution (approximately 30%), stakeholder and project coordination (approximately 40%), and technical discovery & governance (approximately 30%).
- Work shift: 1st Shift.
- Work arrangement: Initially 20 hours/week, with potential to scale up to the full 40 hours/week.
