Travel Mammography Technologist
Location: Nashville, TN (37215)
Pay: $2,370 - $2,520 per week
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | No Weekends, No Holidays, No On-Call
About the Role
Are you a skilled Mammography Tech looking for a lucrative contract assignment with ideal work-life balance? We are seeking a Travel Mammography Technologist for a high-end outpatient imaging facility in the desirable 37215 area of Nashville, TN.
Enjoy a straightforward, day-shift schedule with zero weekend, holiday, or on-call demands, working alongside an on-site Radiologist in a well-equipped, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms in an outpatient setting in accordance with the Department Procedure Manual.
- Operate Hologic equipment and utilize Medinformatics, PACS, Fuji, and MagView systems.
- Support a 2-room / 2-tech clinic handling a comfortable daily volume of 30–40 total patients across screening, diagnostic, biopsy, and DEXA procedures.
- Execute procedures for biopsies (experience preferred, but willing to train on-site!).
- Maintain strict quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) records as required by the ACR, State of Tennessee, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure correct anatomical orientation and accurate patient identification on all acquired images.
- Practice ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety standards.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care suited for an outpatient female patient population.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification: Active ARRT registration with Mammography certification — ARRT (M).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience.
- Licensure: Current Tennessee State Radiologic Technologist License.
- Basic Life Support: Current BCLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in an outpatient setting covering screenings, diagnostics, biopsies, and DEXA scans.
- Familiarity with Hologic systems and MagView/PACS workflows.
