Pay Rate: $22.00 – $25.00 / hour (Commensurate with experience)

Position Summary
As a Clinical Navigator (CN), you will serve as a direct extension of our physicians, guiding patients through their entire treatment and recovery journey. Working closely with specialized physicians in high-volume clinics (orthopedics, pain management, sports medicine, and vascular), you will combine hands-on clinical care, patient education, and administrative coordination to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and support smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Engagement: Room patients, take history, and navigate them seamlessly through clinic visits.

Clinical Procedures: Assist physicians with minor office procedures and prepare and administer injections.

Surgical & Care Preparation: Deliver comprehensive pre-operative education and post-operative care instructions; instruct patients on home exercise programs.

Orders & Prescriptions: Call in prescriptions as directed by the physician and coordinate MRI, surgery, and specialist referrals.

Documentation: Accurately record chart details, clinical data, and physician notes within the EMR (APP EMR system).

Schedule Management: Oversee and optimize the physician’s day-to-day schedule and patient appointments.

Prior Authorizations & Paperwork: Obtain prior approvals from insurance providers for medications, injections, and procedures; complete FMLA and Short-Term Disability (STD) forms.

Patient Communication: Monitor and respond daily to patient inquiries via digital tools (Klara/Teams) and report MRI or lab results as directed.

Cross-Functional Operations: Utilize company inventory management systems, facilitate front office tasks when needed, and assist with general administrative duties.

Referral Network Outreach: Engage with primary care providers, athletic trainers, and physical therapists to enhance referring provider relationships and foster community awareness.

Note: This position involves travel between the Lee’s Summit and Overland Park locations. Travel is off-the-clock and un-reimbursed, but travel considerations are factored into permanent offer compensation.
Required Skills
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-accredited program with ATC Certification through the Board of Certification, Inc. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) with 2+ years of clinical experience.

Active state licensure (or license-eligible in both Missouri and Kansas), if applicable.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred)
Preferred Skills

Prior clinical experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, or musculoskeletal care is strongly preferred.

1+ year of experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, data entry, and basic office computer equipment.

Strong communication, emotional poise under stress, excellent time-management skills, and a team-first mindset.

Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance coverage/benefits, and medical form completion.
