Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to conduct thorough clinical assessments, deliver individual therapy using modalities like CBT and DBT, and implement crisis intervention strategies. This role involves comprehensive case management, utilizing motivational interviewing, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with various mental health conditions.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment pathways.
- Deliver individual therapy employing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health episodes with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Facilitate case management activities, including patient intake, treatment planning, progress documentation, and medical record maintenance in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients actively in their recovery process while supporting behavioral health goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with PTSD, addiction issues, or other mental health conditions.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
- Master’s Degree.
- Active Associate License (or fully Licensed) as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker, or Clinical Counselor.
- BBS Registration.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis management and crisis intervention within behavioral health or community care contexts.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, mental health diagnoses (ICD coding), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards.
- Hands-on experience providing psychotherapy for individuals with histories of trauma and/or incarceration.
- Preferred experience working with adults in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics or hospital environments.
- Previous involvement in clinical research or hospital-based mental health services will be considered an asset.

Schedule / Shift
- There is some flexibility regarding the schedule. This individual can start as early as 9-9:30 am and work until as late as 7 pm.
- 8 hours per week, structured into 1 dedicated day (Mondays, Thursdays, or Fridays)
