Job Summary
A growing Hospital in the Greater Denver area is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to lead and manage comprehensive pharmacy operations, drive clinical quality, and supervise a dedicated team. This role focuses on ensuring exceptional patient care, standardizing clinical processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Culture: Drive departmental goals and champion a positive, collaborative organizational culture. Standardize internal clinical processes and serve as the primary point of escalation for customer service and operational challenges.
- Regulatory & Policy Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of institutional policies regarding medication preparation, storage, administration, and regulatory alignment.
- Medication Management: Manage drug utilization evaluations, non-formulary approval protocols, medication safety reviews, and drug shortage mitigation strategies.
- Team Supervision & Development: Manage the daily activities of the clinical pharmacy team. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, continuous feedback, and resource planning.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between pharmacy staff and executive leadership. Represent the pharmacy department on facility-wide committees to align on safety and quality goals.
- Clinical Oversight & Patient Care: Ensure the delivery of exceptional pharmaceutical care (including multi-disciplinary rounds, emergency response, and complex therapeutic drug monitoring) for specialized patient populations. Oversee timely order verification within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Quality & Safety Initiatives: Lead and sustain clinical quality improvement projects. Oversee the tracking and reporting of adverse drug events and medication variances using internal risk management systems.
- Operational Support: Support general, high-level pharmacy operations, including dispensing and inventory oversight. Provide guidance and supervision to pharmacy technicians, interns, and residents as required.
Qualifications
- BLS (AHA, ARC or ASHI)
- Licensed pharmacist in Colorado or eligible to sit for licensure
Experience
- Pediatric Pharmacy experience
- Critical Care experience (Adult or Pediatric)
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience or strong experience being an "informal" leader
- Completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency plus 1 year of Hospital pharmacy experience
