Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to conduct in-person, non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans. This role focuses on clinical assessments, electronic documentation, and ensuring timely submission of exam findings to support disability evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Veterans’ medical records, service history, prior exams, and C&P exam requests.
- Perform in-person, non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations and document findings electronically.
- Complete DBQs and medical opinions based on VA requirements and requested conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing when appropriate, including labs, spirometry, and ECGs.
- Submit complete exam documentation within required 24–48-hour deadlines.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP/ARNP/APRN), Advanced Practice Provider (APP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Prior clinical experience.
- Previous VA or Compensation & Pension (C&P) examination experience.
- Experience reviewing medical records and medical literature.
- Experience with diagnostic testing such as ECGs, spirometry, or laboratory testing.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and web-based platforms.

Experience

Additional Requirements
- This is an in-person, part-time position.
- Schedule will be based on clinic and business needs.
- Exams must be completed and submitted within 24–48 hours.
