Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide patient-centered care and support clinical operations. This role involves working directly with Veterans, contributing to their disability evaluations and benefits process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care, including vital signs, blood draws, specimen collection, diagnostic testing, and patient education within scope of practice.
- Support providers and clinical staff while maintaining a professional, compassionate, and customer-focused environment.
- Perform front- and back-office administrative duties, including scheduling, phone calls, data entry, documentation, and record management.
- Maintain HIPAA, infection control, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while following organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain clinic operations by managing supplies, keeping work areas clean and organized, using EMR/MS Office systems, and responding appropriately to patient or emergency needs.
Qualifications
- MA diploma, MA certification, or Registered MA required
- Phlebotomy or blood draw experience
- Military background, veteran or VA experience (preferred)
