Job Summary

As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and operational guidance to the pharmacy team. Your responsibilities will include direct patient care, clinical dispensing, inventory, compliance, and financial controls. You will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and daily direction to pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge with candidate selection, onboarding, and clinical training.
• Optimize workflow efficiency and expedite prescription order processing.
• Review prescription orders for clinical appropriateness and potential drug interactions.
• Provide patient counseling on medication administration and adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy logs and manage controlled substance inventories.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and report any violations.
• Notify the state board of pharmacy upon separation of pharmacy staff employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• 2–5 years of pharmacy practice experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) is required.

Schedule: 

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Thursday (Extended Care Shift): 7:30 AM - 8 PM
• Saturday (Short Shift): 9 AM - 1 PM (Note: a designated weekday off will be established upon hire to maintain 40 hour full time schedule).
