Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to efficiently manage a high-volume patient schedule and provide exemplary clinical support. The role involves rooming approximately 20–25 patients per day, ensuring a seamless clinical flow, and assisting with various clinical tasks.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Handle a high patient volume, safely and efficiently rooming an average of 20–25 patients per day.
• Maintain a high standard of clinical efficiency, aiming to room patients and initiate vitals within 10 minutes of check-in.
• Assist patients and providers with clinical inquiries, prescription refills, lab results, and specialist referrals.
• Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vitals, recording medical histories, administering injections/immunizations, and performing blood draws (phlebotomy).
• Partner closely with physicians and mid-level providers to assist with minor in-office procedures, setups, and patient charting.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen, or specialized EMR) for precise documentation and charting.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma/GED and a Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program (CMA or RMA preferred).

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care preferred).
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and standard clinical charting protocols.
• Strong proficiency in back-office clinical skills (injections, venipuncture, EKG, vitals).

Skills

• Proven experience managing a fast-paced, high-volume patient schedule efficiently.
• Excellent communication, empathy, active listening, and problem-solving skills.

Schedule / Shift

M–F 8:00am–5:00pm PST (or 7:30am–4:00pm PST depending on clinic hours)
