Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Physician to supervise assigned Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Physicians. This role involves direct collaboration, participation in ride-alongs, providing complex patient visits, and leading clinical development for APPs. The Physician will also play a crucial role in reviewing quality metrics, clinician productivity, and assisting with patient service inquiries to ensure high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned APPs and Physicians, with collaborative time correlating to those assigned.
• Participate in at least one ride-along with all collaborative APPs per quarter.
• Provide complex patient visits as needed for each APP under supervision.
• Collaborate with various clinical team members, including Community Health Workers, Medical Social Workers, Nurse Navigators, and Care Managers.
• Develop and participate in APP clinical development initiatives.
• Lead and participate in high-risk huddles, ensuring documented plans of care for all discussed patients that include all care management team members.
• Conduct 10 chart audits per month or per state regulations.
• Routinely conduct panel reviews with APPs.
• Sign DME, death certificates, and other orders on behalf of APPs as regulated by state.
• Frequently review Quality metrics and pod-level performance to identify areas for improvement, striving for superior Quality (HEDIS) performance.
• Continuously review clinician capacity and productivity performance, partnering with Site Medical Directors to develop and implement countermeasures when providers are off track.
• Work collaboratively with the Regional Medical Director (RMD) to identify opportunities for care improvement.
• Assist with service inquiries, resolution of patient complaints, and requests for the Pod as needed.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted DEA and Medical Licenses.
• CPR Certification.

Experience

• 3 years of experience as a Physician collaborating with APPs.
• Experience in Geriatrics or with complex patients.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
• Completion of an accredited Residency Program.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
