Associate Clinical Social Worker – Children’s Outpatient

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Pay: $30–$36/hour, based on experience and clinical hours

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically driven Clinical Social Worker to join a specialized Children’s Outpatient / Specialized Foster Care team supporting children and adolescents ages 0–17.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACSW or AMFT looking to build clinical experience, expand their therapeutic skill set, and work alongside an experienced care team. The program provides clinical supervision and ongoing evidence-based practice training, supporting continued professional development and progress toward licensure.
What You’ll Do

Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents ages 0–17.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs.

Conduct clinical assessments and monitor client progress.

Provide case management and care coordination with families, providers, and community resources.

Support clients experiencing behavioral health challenges, including:

Provide crisis intervention and support when higher-acuity situations arise.

Collaborate with caregivers and other members of the clinical care team.

Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in Avatar EHR.

Provide consultation and other billable clinical services as appropriate.

Maintain a caseload that may include approximately 35–60+ clients, depending on program needs.
What Does the Caseload Look Like?
You will not necessarily see every client every week. The frequency of services is based on each client's clinical needs.
For example, some clients may require weekly therapy, while others may be seen monthly for check-ins, case management, or other services. The role includes a variety of billable activities, including individual therapy, consultation, case management, and other clinical services.
Care Team members are expected to maintain approximately 35 hours per week of billable services. No-shows, crisis situations, and other clinical needs can naturally impact the schedule.
Clinical Environment
The Children's Outpatient program primarily works with youth experiencing behavioral and emotional health concerns, with some higher-acuity cases related to trauma.
While the program does encounter some clients with psychosis, the population is not primarily focused on severe psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. Clinicians receive training in evidence-based practices and have access to clinical supervision and support.
Group therapy is not currently a major component of the youth program, with more emphasis placed on individual work, caregiver support, consultation, and care coordination.
What We’re Looking For
Required

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field

BBS Registered ACSW or AMFT

Clinical experience or internship experience in behavioral health

Comfortable working with children and adolescents

Ability to work with clients presenting with varying levels of behavioral health needs

Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and clinical skills

Comfortable working in a setting that may involve crisis intervention and trauma-related cases
Preferred

Experience working with children, adolescents, or families

Experience in foster care, community mental health, or outpatient behavioral health

Experience with assessments, treatment planning, case management, and care coordination

Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Professional Development & Supervision
This program offers clinical supervision and opportunities to receive training in evidence-based practices. The structure allows clinicians working toward licensure to accumulate supervised clinical hours and continue developing their skills in a supportive clinical environment.
Compensation
Pay is based on experience and progress toward licensure:

$30–$31/hour: New graduates / approximately 500 clinical hours

$32–$34/hour: Approximately 500–1,000+ clinical hours

$35–$36/hour: More advanced candidates with approximately 1,500+ clinical hours
