Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Note: Clinic is open until 7:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays; shift schedules may vary)
Pay Range: $18.50 – $19.90 / hour
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistants to join our clinical team in Brentwood, PA. As a Medical Assistant at our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, culturally sensitive, high-quality primary care to diverse and underserved patient populations.
In this role, you will work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to support patient intake, perform routine clinical and lab procedures, coordinate patient care, and ensure seamless daily clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities

Patient Intake & Care: Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, measure and document vital signs (blood pressure, height, weight, temperature), perform routine health screenings (e.g., PHQ-2), and accurately record medication and allergy histories in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Clinical & Laboratory Procedures: Collect and process lab specimens, perform diagnostic testing, and execute equipment calibrations and quality control checks following strict clinic safety protocols.

Medication & Immunization Administration: Administer routine medications and vaccines as directed by clinicians, accurately logging doses in the EHR and state immunization databases.

Care Coordination: Manage incoming urgent communications from health facilities, process prescription refill requests, submit medical referrals, and route lab findings to providers.

Clinic Operations: Maintain clean, stocked, and sanitized examination rooms while coordinating with reception staff to maintain efficient patient workflow.

Compliance & Professional Standards: Adhere to HIPAA privacy standards, clinic operating guidelines, and annual clinical competency sign-offs.

Coverage: Provide flexible clinical support across local clinic sites as operationally needed.
Minimum Qualifications

Certifications: Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Health Requirements: Up-to-date immunizations as required by clinical health standards.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers, standard office equipment, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient communities and care teams.

Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities in a busy clinic setting.
Preferred Qualifications

Industry Experience: Knowledge or prior experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health center setting.

Professional Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) designation.

Language Skills: Bilingual or multilingual fluency is highly preferred.

Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with basic medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding concepts.
