Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Clinic Medical Assistant to join their team in providing high-quality care. This position involves a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, supporting physicians in delivering excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- 50% clinical duties including rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting providers.
- 50% administrative tasks such as referrals, prior authorizations, scheduling, insurance, and phone calls.
- Manage patient volume of 15-20 per clinic with a focus on quality of care over productivity.
Qualifications
- Certification as DOH Certified MA (CMA or MA-C).
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
- Vaccination documentation for COVID and Hepatitis B.
- Primary Care background; experience in OB/GYN or urgent care is applicable.
- Preferred experience with EPIC/MyChart or other EMR systems, and Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics background.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience; candidates with more experience and tenure are preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic life support.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Additional Requirements
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some clinics offering extended hours from 7 AM to 7 PM. Initial onboarding includes system login, compliance training, and orientation, followed by 2-3 weeks of shadowing/training with medical assistant trainers.
