Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to provide exceptional customer service by researching, troubleshooting, and resolving account-related concerns. The role involves accurately posting patient payments, assisting with cash-related issues, and collaborating with internal departments to resolve service issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and partners by resolving account-related concerns promptly.
- Accurately post patient payments and reconcile them with deposited amounts.
- Receive and log deposits from providers and facilities, ensuring secure handling.
- Assist patients with cash-related issues and escalate when necessary.
- Respond to patient questions regarding statements and account status.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve service issues and payment discrepancies.
- Review and document account activity according to procedures.
- Identify trends and workflow gaps affecting the client experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, customer service, or related fields preferred.
- Experience in resolving account concerns and payment posting is preferred.
- Strong skills in customer service, communication, and problem resolution.
- Ability to accurately research and resolve account issues with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes is preferred.
- Competence in handling cash and confidential information per compliance standards.
- Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
Schedule/Shift
Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
