Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Office Clerk who will be responsible for managing inbound calls, communicating with providers and members, assisting case managers with data support, and processing documentation and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Call & Inquiry Management: Efficiently answer, assess, and document 30–40 incoming calls daily regarding authorization status and denial inquiries.
- Provider & Member Communication: Act as a liaison to communicate authorization decisions or request additional information.
- Case Management Data Support: Assist Case Managers with pre-authorization request data management.
- Document & Correspondence Processing: Process incoming and outgoing documentation.
- System Data Entry: Enter accurate information using clinical software systems.
- Surveying & Data Collection: Conduct surveys with members and providers for departmental analysis.
- Office Equipment & Software Operation: Operate standard office equipment and communication tools.
- Departmental Support & Compliance: Participate in team meetings and comply with quality standards.
Qualifications
- Typing Speed: Minimum of 40 words per minute (WPM).
- Computer Literacy & Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-application platforms.
- Healthcare EMR / Systems: Familiarity with the GuidingCare software system.
- Phone & Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and telephone etiquette.
- Office Equipment Operation: Experience with standard office technology.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Skills
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Soft skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements
Remote/Hybrid/Onsite schedule is under consideration for a potential 1-day remote option. The consistent schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
