Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Surgery Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with the Director of Nursing and supporting surgical procedures by assisting the surgical team in the operating room. Key responsibilities include ensuring that all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly prepared, available, and maintained throughout each surgical procedure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in the operating room with instrument, equipment, and supply management.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other surgical team members to ensure high standards of safety and patient care.
- Contribute to the Surgery Center’s mission, operational objectives, and quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a surgical environment.
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
- Understanding and implementation of aseptic techniques.
- Active Certified Surgical Tech certification for the state of VA.
Skills
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in surgical procedures and aseptic technique management.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Requirements
- Shifts: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM depending on surgery completion.
- No night, weekend, or holiday shifts required.
