Job Summary

Our client is seeking an entry-level Medical Biller to support patient advocacy and operational accuracy through clear and precise billing management. This role focuses on core data verification, basic coding support, and initial claim processing, providing an excellent opportunity for career advancement in healthcare finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage, demographic data, and foundational contract details against standard operating procedures.
• Support medical coding operations by auditing Patient Care Reports (PCRs) and operational records for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage daily task queues in proprietary billing platforms and external insurance portals to maintain steady workflow and prevent backlogs.
• Identify complex or non-standard billing cases and escalate them promptly to senior specialists or management.
• Participate actively in coaching sessions, applying feedback to continuously improve performance metrics and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Open to candidates with 2–3 years of medical billing experience OR entry-level candidates graduating from a Medical Billing and Coding externship/internship program.
• Understanding of or experience applying CPT codes to claims.
• Strong computer proficiency: comfortable using dual monitors, navigating multiple software platforms simultaneously, typing proficiently, and using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) / Google Suite.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset.

Skills

• Experience with billing systems such as Logis, Zoll is a plus.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Ability to navigate multi-screen and multi-system environments.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
