Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Revenue Specialist to manage healthcare insurance claims. This position involves claims research, payer communication, account resolution, and maintaining accurate records using various software tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct claims research and investigation to analyze outstanding or denied claims.
- Navigate online payer portals to verify claim statuses and submit appeals.
- Communicate directly with insurance companies to resolve claim discrepancies.
- Execute problem-solving for complex claim disputes beyond standard procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation in billing databases, utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
- Integrate internal software platforms and AI tools in daily workflows.
- Engage in training and rapidly achieve proficiency within 90 days.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical collections, billing, or claims processing.
- Proficiency in navigating online insurance payer portals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to learn quickly and achieve proficiency within 90 days.
Skills
- Experience in medical claims processing and resolution.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adaptability and initiative in learning new systems and procedures.
Additional Requirements
- Workdays: Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch, totaling 8.5 hours on-duty.
- Flexible start between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM EST; consistent schedule required upon start.
