Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical coverage. The practice is looking for a dependable and experienced CMA who can step into the role quickly and provide consistent clinical support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on pediatric experience, particularly administering immunizations to children of all ages, including infants.
Location: Newark, Deleware
Key Responsibilities
- Room pediatric patients and prepare them for provider visits
- Administer immunizations to pediatric patients of all ages, including infants
- Perform and document vision screenings
- Perform and document hearing screenings
- Obtain and record patient information and vital signs as appropriate
- Assist providers and clinical staff with day-to-day patient care
- Support the clinical workflow of a busy pediatric office
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Provide a welcoming and professional experience for pediatric patients and their families
- Follow all established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Previous experience administering immunizations
- Pediatric clinical experience
- Experience rooming pediatric patients
- Experience completing vision and hearing screenings
- Previous experience working in a pediatrician's office or pediatric clinical setting
