Job Opening: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Medical Oncology

Location: Onsite (Primary sites in Orland Park & Chicago Ridge, IL)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00/8:30 AM – 5:00/6:00 PM | Rotating Weekend Hospital Rounds (1 weekend per month)

Base Salary: $106,000 – $150,000 / year (commensurate with experience) + Extra Shift Pay

Position Overview

We are seeking two (2) Advanced Practice Providers (NP or PA) to join a dedicated, fast-paced medical oncology team serving the South Suburbs of Chicago.

This role offers a balance of outpatient clinic care and inpatient hospital rounding. You will work closely alongside collaborating physicians in a supportive environment designed to help you ramp up thoughtfully—with full onboarding support to set you up for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Outpatient Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive care to oncology patients, managing treatment plans, symptom management, and patient follow-ups. Patient volume scales up gradually (ramp-up target of 12–15 patients per day after full credentialing).

• Chemotherapy Oversight: Participate in a rotating schedule for "incident-to" coverage for chemotherapy administration during clinic hours.

• Inpatient Hospital Rounding: Perform weekend hospital rounds approximately one weekend per month (Saturday & Sunday full days) across local affiliated health systems.

• Collaborative Care: Work closely in a team-based model with collaborating physicians, nursing staff, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Compensation & Comprehensive Benefits

• Competitive Base Salary: $106,000 – $150,000 (dependent on experience and education)

• Extra Shift Compensation: Additional pay provided for rounding more than 8–12 times per year or picking up extra call shifts

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) for NPs or Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) for PAs

• Active Illinois RN and APN licenses (or active Illinois PA license)

• Active APN Controlled Substance license and active DEA license

• Current American Heart Association CPR certification

• Ability to pass background check, TB screening, flu shot, and hospital-mandated vaccinations

• For one of the open roles: Demonstrated clinical experience in Solid Oncology is required.
