Job Summary

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse responsible for managing patient care in an ambulatory care setting. The primary goal of this role is to ensure patients receive comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, coordinate surgical dates, assist with patient education and support, and manage communications between various healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen new patient phone calls and assist with scheduling consultations.
• Oversee appointment bookings and prioritize emergent surgical cases.
• Provide pre-operative education and schedule any necessary testing.
• Prepare charts and imaging for upcoming surgeries.
• Coordinate communications between hospitals and healthcare providers.
• Triage patient phone calls and address concerns throughout the day.
• Assist providers during patient hours with examinations and direct care.
• Maintain patient care protocols and assist in design and implementation of clinical research trials.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain affiliations.

Qualifications

• RN experience in Med Surg, ICU, or Outpatient Ambulatory setting.
• Proficiency in EPIC software.
• Spanish language skills required.

Experience

• Previous nursing experience in Med Surg, ICU, or outpatient ambulatory environments.

Skills

• Technical Proficiency: EPIC software experience.
• Language Proficiency: Spanish.
