Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The position involves working in a Medicare Advantage Value Based Model, primarily serving the senior population. The Medical Assistant will play a key role in providing Value Based Care, which includes spending significant time with each patient to build strong relationships and support their healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, including measuring and recording vital signs and medical histories.
- Perform examinations, routine screenings, and phlebotomy.
- Engage with patients, report findings to the PCP, and process patient communication.
- Administer first aid procedures and health coaching.
- Provide CPR and support during emergencies.
- Assist with administrative work and quality measures.
Qualifications
- 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Experience with EClinicalWorks or similar EMR.
- Phlebotomy experience is highly desired.
Skills
- Adaptability and teamwork.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and electronic medical records.
- Comfortable working with diverse populations.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Experience working with elderly patients is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must be punctual and ready to participate in daily meetings at 8:00 AM.
