Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant who will be responsible for managing both outbound and inbound communications with patients, focusing on remote patient monitoring and chronic care management. The role emphasizes providing accurate information, educating patients on device usage, and ensuring precise documentation in electronic health records.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to new and existing patients to provide information about remote patient monitoring and chronic care management.
• Review biometric data for abnormal values and escalate concerns per protocol.
• Handle a large volume of inbound and outbound calls efficiently in a calm, personable, and professional manner.
• Contact patients via phone or telehealth platform to follow up on symptoms, readings, or device issues.
• Educate patients on the use of RPM devices and support proper use through troubleshooting and clear instructions.
• Document all patient interactions and health data accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Work closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to ensure timely escalation of issues and prompt attention to patients’ needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Navigate between multiple EMR systems to input and update all patient information.

Qualifications

• Active RMA or CMA license.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish/English preferred.
• Remote patient monitoring experience preferred.

Experience

• Must have 2 years of experience.
