Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Imaging Specialist to be responsible for the administration, support, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise imaging applications and infrastructure. This includes Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), DICOM and HL7 integrations, image exchange platforms, and advanced post-processing applications. The role serves as the senior technical expert for enterprise imaging workflows, ensuring the availability, performance, security, and interoperability of imaging systems across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation: Evaluate project requests, conduct assessments, define requirements, design future states, and lead implementation teams through planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Project Management: Prepare project plans, manage application team adherence to schedules, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintenance, Support, and Troubleshooting: Monitor and resolve tickets, coordinate patches and upgrades, and maintain system documentation.
- Administrative: Log project-related hours and attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
- Production Support and Maintenance: Provide on-call support, ensure system integrity, troubleshoot issues, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Project Assignments: Design and manage implementation approaches and collaborate with departments to determine system activities and functions.
Qualifications
- Possess Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) from the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII).
Experience
- At least 7 years of related experience required.
- Project management experience with similar systems required.
Skills
- Proficiency in HL7 and DIACOM.
- Strong project management skills.
Education
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
