Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to provide support to clients receiving Substance Use Disorder Treatment. The primary responsibilities include conducting mental health assessments, providing individual therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and assisting clients in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and diagnostic evaluations for new admissions to assess presenting concerns, clinical needs, strengths, and level of care.
- Manage an assigned caseload of approximately 15–20 clients.
- Provide weekly individual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques appropriate to each client's needs.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client goals.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment approaches as clinically indicated.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to support integrated mental health and Substance Use Disorder services.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records in accordance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Complete all required clinical documentation within 24 hours of service delivery.
- Provide occasional licensed-level administrative support, including contributing clinical input to policy updates, procedures, and other program-related initiatives.
- Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, team meetings, and other activities necessary to support quality client care.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with applicable licensure requirements and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mental Health or Human Services field.
- Active Maryland License (LGPC or LCPC).
- If LCPC: Must already be an approved, in-network Maryland Medicaid provider.
- Must pass a drug screen (including marijuana and alcohol).
Experience
- Experience/familiarity with the substance use disorder community.
- Experience with "ICanNotes" EHR system.
