Title: Angio Tech / Cardiac Cath Lab (IR) Tech
Location: San Diego, CA
Facility: General acute care / short-term acute care hospital
Compensation: Up to $3,273/week
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: 10/01/2026
Shift/Schedule: Sun–Sat, 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM (4x10hr days). Standby requirements: ~10 calls/month (1 primary/week, 1 secondary) including 1 weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun). Schedule released 4 weeks in advance.
Responsibilities:
- Operates Equipment: Use advanced imaging tools, including digital fluoroscopy, CT scanners, and X-ray systems, to capture high-quality images of arteries, veins, and heart chambers.
- Assists Physicians: Work directly alongside interventional radiologists and cardiologists during procedures such as angiograms, cardiac catheterizations, and stent placements.
- Prepares Patients: Prepare and position patients, monitor vital signs, and explain procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintains Sterile Field: Prepare sterile trays, handle specialized tools like catheters and guide wires, and maintain room cleanliness and safety standards.
Required Skills:
- Experience: Interventional Radiology (IR) experience, Level 1 Trauma experience, and 6+ months of recent modality experience in an inpatient health system setting.
- Clinical Capabilities: Must have Neuro and Vascular experience with ability to both scrub and circulate.
- Travel Experience: Minimum 1 year of prior travel assignment experience.
- Certifications/Licensure: BLS, CRT, ARRT with Fluoroscopy Permit.
- Location/Radius Requirements: Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility. Previous job/assignment in the past year must be 101+ miles from the facility.
- Equipment Knowledge: Experience with GE, Siemens, and Philips equipment, as well as Epic EMR.
