Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the preparation and delivery of quotes, financial analyses, and proposals. This position involves coaching and supervising a team of 10+ Analysts, ensuring adherence to processes, and communicating turnaround time expectations with the Sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of quotes, financial analyses, and proposals.
- Coach and supervise a team of 10+ Analysts, ensuring they follow prescribed processes.
- Diligently monitor proposal turnaround times and communicate expectations with the Sales team.
- Identify areas of inefficiency in Analysts' processes and quickly correct them.
- Triage proposal requests equitably across the team of Analysts.
- Resolve issues and prioritize proposal requests that have tight deadlines.
- Surface opportunities to leadership for improving proposal content, layout, and style.
- Manage data entry and critical quoting metrics in Salesforce.
- Define necessary materials for quoting and renewal processes, ensuring they are up-to-date.
- Demonstrate commitment to core competencies: being authentic, curious, creative, empathetic, and outcome-oriented.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in health insurance operations, underwriting, or proposal development in the health benefits industry.
- 2+ years of experience supervising and coaching a team.
- 1+ years of experience identifying and shaping practices and processes.
Skills
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, macros, functions, and vlookups.
- Strong internal customer-service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Resourceful, driven, and resilient attitude.
- Ability to meet deadlines and ensure on-time delivery of work.
Additional Requirements
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
