Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Clinical Informaticist with a focus on workflow optimization, system support, implementation upgrades, and stakeholder collaboration. This position involves the evaluation, documentation, and streamlining of clinical workflows within both ambulatory and inpatient environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Optimization & Strategy: Evaluate, document, and streamline clinical workflows for ambulatory and inpatient environments.
- System Support & Rounding: Conduct regular clinical site rounding to identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Implementations & Upgrades: Analyze new software releases and manage end-user readiness, policies, and training strategies.
- Stakeholder Bridge & Mentorship: Serve as the liaison between clinical operations and IT, providing guidance to junior informatics team members.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Conduct system audits to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in clinical operations, Hospital IT, or Healthcare vendor/consulting environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Informatics preferred.
- Certifications & Licensures:
- Active Nursing Licensure (RN/BSN) or other active professional clinical licensure.
- Active Epic Certification in at least one core clinical application.
- Informatics Certificate required; Lean Certification and additional Epic specialty module certifications preferred.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Epic configuration, workflow analysis, and optimization.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Project management skills and experience in metrics/outcomes development.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel pivot tables, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in clinical operations, Hospital IT, or Healthcare vendor/consulting environment.
- Experience participating as a lead on at least one major module/system implementation.
Additional Requirements
This position involves shift work from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
