Job Summary
Our client is seeking a precise and patient-focused CT Technologist to support a premier cardiology clinic. In this role, you will utilize advanced diagnostic imaging technology to capture high-quality cardiovascular images essential for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning. You will work under the direct supervision of the attending Physician.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT scans using a GE Omnipaq machine.
- Focus on Cardiac CT imaging in the afternoon sessions.
- Maintain high imaging standards with a strong focus on patient care and operational efficiency.
- Utilize EMR system (Athena) for scheduling and documentation.
- Conduct high-resolution cardiac CT scans and general body CT imaging in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Calibrate and adjust equipment parameters to optimize image quality.
- Route completed scans to physicians and manage patient data within the Athena EMR system.
- Review clinical histories and interview patients to gather relevant health data.
- Safely position patients and establish IV access for contrast media administration.
- Execute daily quality assurance checks and perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment.
- Follow strict radiation safety rules, infection control standards, and HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Manage administrative documentation, including screening forms, operational logs, and scheduling instructions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program, including formal training in Computed Tomography.
- Active ARRT (CT) credential and current BLS certification.
- Prior experience performing Cardiac CT imaging strongly preferred.
- Ability to select appropriate cardiac imaging protocols in consultation with reading cardiologists.
- Commitment to maintaining required continuing education credits.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience.
- Strong experience specifically with Cardiac CT imaging.
Skills
- Technical skills: Experience with GE equipment (GE Omnipaq) and Athena EMR is a plus.
- Soft skills: Strong communication and patient care skills.
