Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist who will be responsible for performing a wide range of MRI scans, assisting with radiologists' protocols, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to the standards set forth by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and Joint Commission Requirements. The technologist will handle examinations across various MRI scanners, maintain equipment, and provide patient care and comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform exams on all brands and models of MRI scanners.
• Assist in reviewing and entering radiologist protocols into the radiology information system.
• Verify and identify patient information according to command policy, and ensure MRI safety screening.
• Evaluate patients for contrast compatibility and respond to contrast reactions.
• Perform full range MRI scans, select appropriate equipment, and maintain MRI suite.
• Communicate technical and clinical aspects of MRI scans with medical staff.
• Participate in quality control tasks and update MRI scanner protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an academic program accredited by JRCERT, COE, or equivalent.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in MRI specialty.

Experience

• Minimum one year of experience as a radiologic technologist or in MRI specialty.

Additional Requirements

• Provide two recent letters of recommendation attesting to clinical skills and communication abilities.
