Job Summary
Our client is seeking a versatile Radiologist capable of performing General Interventional Radiology (IR), Mammography IR, and Diagnostic Mammography procedures. This onsite position offers the opportunity to cover 1–3 weeks per month, providing essential services in a dynamic hospital environment. Candidates with proficiency in IR and Mammography IR are highly preferred, though those without Diagnostic Mammography experience are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform General Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Conduct Mammography Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Interpret Diagnostic Mammography, though negotiable based on background.
- Manage an average of 4–5 light procedures per day, including GI studies, joint injections, arthrograms, biopsies, and thoro/paracentesis.
- Handle an average of 10–15 screening mammograms per day, along with a small number of in-house diagnostic mammograms.
- Engage in a general mix of outpatient, inpatient, and emergent diagnostic imaging cases.
- Occasionally cover contrast cases at the Imaging Center (fully equipped workstation available on-site).
- CT & Plain Films: Ensure accurate measurement of all stones visualised (kidneys, ureters, and bladder).
- DVT Studies: Document presence/absence of venous reflux on all studies.
Qualifications
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Radiology.
- Active New Mexico medical license or willingness to obtain.
- Core Competencies: General IR & Mammography IR (Required).
- Secondary Competency: Diagnostic Mammography (Highly Preferred, but non-readers considered).
- Experience with EMR systems like Meditech, and PACS solutions like MEDITECH Enterprise Medical Imaging.
- Strong clinical reporting skills, ideally known proficiency with PowerScribe.
Skills
- Advanced technical skills in Interventional Radiology (light/image-guided procedures).
- Proficiency in reading screening and diagnostic mammograms, with experience in Hologic Genius 3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis) systems.
- Comfortable with outpatient, inpatient, and emergency diagnostic cases, proficient with Philips Incisive CT technology.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and supportive environment with outstanding communication skills.
Additional Requirements
- Shift Work: 8am-5pm preferred timing, but flexible, available for 1–3 weeks of coverage per month.
