Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Floater to be the face of their Health Center. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including greeting patients, verifying appointments, updating patient information, and maintaining smooth patient flow through communication with patients, providers, and clinic staff.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Greet patients and verify appointments on the NextGen Enterprise Practice Management (EPM) system.
- Update and verify patient information and correct any system alerts in NextGen EPM.
- Scan documents such as IDs and insurance cards into NextGen ICS.
- Ensure financial screening, program enrollment, and verification are completed at check-in.
- Enroll/renew patient programs such as Family PACT, MHLA, CHDP, EWC, PE, and others.
- Maintain smooth patient flow through communication with medical staff and provide assistance and information to patients.
- Handle scheduling inquiries, make patient appointments, and complete check-in and check-out processes.
- Review and provide patients with their Patient Plan, appointment card, and other pertinent information.
- Answer telephone calls promptly, return voice mail messages, and transfer calls to appropriate staff.
- Perform financial screening for next-day patient appointments and ensure proper credit/payment on patient accounts.
Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Ability to work full-time hours, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
- Computer savvy.
Additional Requirements
Open to commuting to three different locations, with the majority of time spent at Los Feliz and Belmont.
Schedule / Shift
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.
