Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our client's behavioral health team, focusing on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and patient care within PHP and IOP programs. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with clinical teams and participate in quality-assurance meetings to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete psychiatric evaluations for new patients entering the PHP and IOP programs.
• Conduct required evaluations for PHP patients within 24 hours of admission.
• Provide medication management, prescribing, and ongoing follow-up care.
• Manage an active panel of high-acuity behavioral health patients.
• Meet individually with patients during the program day.
• Collaborate closely with the clinical, medical, and case-management teams.
• Participate in daily clinical meetings and applicable quality-assurance meetings.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Ritten EMR.
• Help coordinate appropriate care for patients requiring higher treatment levels or substance-use detoxification.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner license.
• Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Active Massachusetts DEA registration.
• Experience conducting psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychiatric medications.
• Comfortable treating adults with high-acuity and complex behavioral health needs.
• Ability to provide care onsite in downtown Boston.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Experience

• Experience in inpatient psychiatry or another high-acuity behavioral health setting preferred.
• Experience serving Medicaid, underserved, or socially complex patient populations.

Skills

• Familiarity with medication management following inpatient psychiatric discharge.
• Experience collaborating with therapists, case managers, and other behavioral health professionals.
• Previous experience with the Ritten EMR is helpful.

Additional Requirements

• Full-time, onsite position in downtown Boston.
• Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• Start date: ASAP.
• No weekend coverage or on-call responsibilities.
