Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong healthcare customer service experience to join their team as a Call Center Representative. This role involves managing approximately 55 daily patient accounts by handling both inbound and outbound calls to engage with patients and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient & Insurance Outreach: Conduct inbound and outbound calls with patients and insurance carriers to resolve outstanding account balances.
• Payment Facilitation: Educate patients on their financial obligations—including copays, deductibles, and non-covered balances—and collect payments prior to procedures or post-service.
• Financial Assistance & Screening: Screen patients for financial assistance eligibility, provide access to applications, and ensure timely review of submitted forms prior to initiating advanced collection steps.
• Payment Arrangements: Help set up structured, periodic payment plans to assist patients in resolving hospital bills.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to internal policies and regulatory standards to prevent premature extraordinary collection actions (ECAs), ensuring accounts are handled with care and compliance.
• Account Management: Maintain accurate records and track progress across an assigned workload of ~55 accounts daily.

Qualifications

• Strong background in healthcare customer service, medical billing, or patient account resolution.
• Comfort level with collecting payments over the phone and following standard call scripts.
• Strong communication, active listening, and empathetic negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with standard healthcare software and phone systems; training provided on systems such as Envision and Webex.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
