Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Insurance Follow Up Representative responsible for ensuring timely payment of claims. The role involves managing various claim types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, following up on existing claims, and resolving complex denials.
Pay Range: $18-$20/hour
Contract Length: 2 months with possiblity of extension up to 6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with payers to ensure timely payment of claims across all types, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and Tricare.
- Manage complex denials for all payers and follow up on existing claims while working untouched claims in the queue.
- Process and review 45 claims daily using UB-04 claim forms.
- Ensure each piece of the accounts receivable is addressed daily without direct patient communication.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of commercial and government claims.
- Adaptability and reliability.
- Experience with UB-04 and 1500 claim forms.
- 3+ years of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in Meditech is strongly preferred.
Skills
- Technical knowledge of commercial and government claims processes.
- Soft skills including adaptability and reliability.
- Experience with Meditech and Epic or various EMR systems.
